You may have previously seen our blogposts about incorporating Pantone’s colours of the year in the home and keeping you up to date on which colour they’ve chosen for this specific year (if you don’t know already take a look at our blogpost on “Greenery”) but something you may have missed is our feature shutter design based on Pantone’s previous choice “Rose quartz” and “Serenity”.
Since it’s just about time for Summer, the days are getting warmer and the nights are getting longer it only seems fair that we drift back to some of our previous designs that truly capture Summer at it’s best. For Pantone’s colour of the year, rather than just choosing one single colour it was the first time that they instead chose a blending of two shades, something that we at Clement Browne were incredibly excited by.
The two shades of Rose Quartz and Serenity are a great choice as they work perfectly in unison with each other. Whilst the pink undertones of Rose Quartz offer a warming feeling of comfort the cool blue hues of Serenity provides a soothing feeling. As a combination they work well to calm and create a feeling of tranquil peace.
When seeing both colours together they immediately conjour up scenes of a sunset sky making them ideal for a summer interior such as a bedroom. Use your home design to create a dreamy comfort zone, a place for you to escape from the rest of the world. You can incorporate the colours however you like but in our feature we have chosen to make our rose shutter into a focal point of the interior.
